Wake up and watch the sunrise over the Great Barrier Reef! These overnight liveaboard trips are designed for people who would like just a little more time out on the reef and especially for more experienced or keen divers. With night dives also available you will see the reef in all its glory.
Overnight trips are also a great way to get your dive qualifications, a little bit of study in the classroom and the pool before heading out to learn the ropes!
- Itinerary
Day 1: Four Dives/Snorkels
- Pick up from your city accommodation at 7.30 am
- Board transfer vessel approx. 8 am
- 90-minute journey to the outer reef
- 2 dives/snorkel sessions on board transfer vessel
- Transfer to liveaboard OceanQuest at 2.30 pm
- 1 afternoon dive/snorkel
- Dinner
- 1 night dive/duckboard snorkelling
- Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Day 2: Three Dives/Snorkels
- 1 sunrise dive/snorkel
- Breakfast
- 2 x morning dives/snorkels [end of in-water activities]
- Checkout of room
- Lunch/free time
- Board transfer vessel 2.30 pm
- Arrive back in Cairns 4.30 pm
- Transfer drops back to city accommodation approx. 5 pm
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
- Pickups / Departures
- Transfers from the Northern Beaches $20.00 – payable on the day of travel
- Pick-up: 7:30 am from Cairns City Hotel or Hostel
- Departs: 8:00 am Daily
- Returns: 4:30 pm Daily
